Privacy Policy
SnackWizard is a demo store. It collects as little as possible, and you should never give it real personal details.
Last updated August 5, 2026
The short version
- No customer accounts are created. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log into.
- Placeholder details are expected. Use a dummy name and a dummy email address anywhere the demo asks for one.
- No payment details are collected, because no payment is ever processed.
- Push notifications are opt-in and can be turned off at any time.
What we collect
Cart and demo checkout data. Items you add to your cart, along with any name, email, or address you type into the demo checkout, are sent to the WooCommerce backend that powers this store. Because no order is fulfilled and no account is created, this data only exists to make the demo behave like a real shop.
Messages you send us. If you use the contact page or email us, we receive whatever you write, including any contact details you choose to include.
Technical request data. Our hosting and content delivery providers log ordinary request information such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL to serve pages and protect the site from abuse.
Address suggestions. When you use checkout address autocomplete, the text you type is sent to Google Maps Platform so it can suggest matching addresses. You can skip the suggestions and enter an address manually.
We do not ask for and do not want sensitive personal information, government identifiers, or real payment credentials. Please do not submit them.
Cookies and local storage
- A cart session cookie keeps your cart attached to your browser between page loads. It is required for the shop to work and is not used for advertising.
- Your light or dark theme choice is stored locally in your browser and never leaves your device.
Clearing your browser storage for this site removes both and resets your cart.
Push notifications
If you opt in to push notifications, we use OneSignal to deliver them. OneSignal issues a device or browser push subscription identifier and processes it, along with basic delivery and technical data, on our behalf as a service provider.
Notifications are strictly opt-in: nothing is sent unless you accept your browser’s permission prompt. You can revoke permission at any time in your browser or device settings, which stops all further notifications and invalidates the subscription.
Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Data is handled only by the service providers that run this demo: our hosting and content delivery platform, the WooCommerce backend that stores catalog and cart data, Google Maps Platform for optional checkout address suggestions, and OneSignal for push notifications. Google’s handling of that data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. We may also disclose information where required by law.
How long we keep it
Cart sessions expire on their own and demo checkout records are periodically cleared, since none of them correspond to a real order. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to reply. Push subscriptions are removed once you revoke permission or unsubscribe.
Your choices
- Use placeholder details, or simply browse without submitting any form.
- Clear site data in your browser to remove your cart and theme preference.
- Revoke notification permission in your browser or device settings.
- Ask us to delete anything you have submitted by getting in touch.
Children
SnackWizard is a technical demonstration aimed at a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. To ask a question or request deletion, email contact@webwizard.biz. The terms of service explain what this demo does and does not do.
